At our office, we believe that raising a child is a rewarding--as well as a challenging --experience for a parent. Our goal is to help you enjoy this experience and to ensure that your child's full potential is reached. We believe that healthy children are the results of healthy families and communities.

After Hours

Call our office number at 972-731-9900 and select the voice mail option for Dr. Schwartz. You will hear a greeting from him with instructions to leave your name, your child's name, your phone number and reason for calling. When you hang up, Dr. Schwartz will be paged and notified to retrieve your message and then he will call you back to discuss the issue and decide ona plan for care.

Appointments

Occasionally, despite our best efforts, we may run late. We will keep you informed so that you have the option of rescheduling your appointment. We also recognize that you may run late due to the traffic congestion in Frisco. If you arrive late we will work your child in as the schedule permits. New patients may print and complete the registration information from this website at home and bring it to the visit which will speed the check in process.

Sick Child Visits

We make every effort to schedule appointments for ill children on the day that you call us. Please call our office ahead of time so that we can minimize the time that you will spend waiting. If you have a minor emergency during office hours, please call and we will work in your child. Minor emergencies include asthma flares, lacerations, sprains and possible broken bones. Major emergencies are best taken to the Emergency Room. If you would like us to see more than 1 child, please schedule this when you make your initial appointment.

Walk-Ins

Patients who walk in with a non-emergency condition will be fit into the existing schedule as best as possible, or they will be asked to return later in the day when the schedule allows.

Emergencies

If an emergency should arise, please call 911. Emergencies are considered to be those conditions that are life-threatening: loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, seizure, etc.

In the case of minor emergencies (lacerations, cuts, mild fractures, sprains), please call our office first and we will work you into the schedule as expeditiously as possible to help you avoid an expensive ER visit.

Well Child Visits

To keep your children healthy, it is important to bring them in for regular checkups. We recommend that you call 2-4 week(s) in advance so you may choose the date that best fits your needs. The list below is our recommended schedule for Well Child Visits. We recommend you bring your older children in during their birth month for their yearly exam.

Insurance

Below is a list of the insurances that we accept. Please have your card and driver's license with you at the time of your initial visit. We need to see your insurance card with every subsequent visit. If we file your claim, you are responsible for only the co-pay at the time of visit. If we are not a provider for your insurance, if you are not insured or we do not file with your insurance company, you will be responsible for the entire charge at the time of service. We do offer "prompt pay" discounts for self pay patients.
